Comsys – Perfecting Power

Slide background

Following Brazil, Australia is the sixth largest country in the world*. Projects here pose a unique challenge as they are often in rural areas where electricity travels long distances—not to mention the extreme heat and humidity typical of the region. These factors, among others, mean operations rely on a weak grid—not the ideal way to be productive. As a result, the need for power quality solutions in Australia continues to expand.

Australia’s largest mining project** is a bauxite mine project taking place in far North Queensland.  Thanks to the efforts of our partner (a major global drives manufacturer), the mine’s EPC (one of the world’s largest equipment procurement companies), has selected ADF Power Tuning to mitigate harmonics generated by the on-site drives.

The players:
  • One of the world’s largest mining operators
  • One of the biggest EPCs globally
  • Major global drives manufacturer

Planned to finalize in late Q1 2017, we’ll keep you posted with further developments in the future.
